Description:

Secara epidemiology penyakit tidak menular menunjukan perkembangan yang pesat.Kejadian tersebut di dasari pada pola makan dan factor lingkungan yang melemahan kerja gen dan protein dalam tubuh.Pada era genomic hamper semua peta genom patologik dan fisiologi diketehui.Tetapi masalah penyakit menular tidak kunjung dapat diselesaikan sehingga penelitian berlanjut dan menemukan salah satu factor lagi yaitu Epigenetik.Peristiwa epigenetik merupakan mekanisme bermutasinya protein Histon tanpa melibatkan perubahan gen.Dengan berubahannya histon makan proses penyakit tidak menular seperti kenker, dibetes dll terexpresi.Penyakit tidak menular juga disebabkan oleh kerusakan gen sehingga terjadilah proses perbaikan melalui DNA Repair.Pada penelitian terdahulu terdapat hubungan antara proses epigenetic dan perbaikan DNA.
